If you would like to find out more about bell ringing, have a look at the Discover Bell Ringing page.
As well as the fine ring of 12 Taylor bells, the tower is equipped with cctv and an Abel ringing simulator.
The Ernie de Legh-Runciman (as chief instructor) has over 40 years experience as a change ringer, and is a member of the Central Council of Church Bell Ringers.
In recent weeks, the Abel teaching software installed in the bell tower has been updated to the latest state of the art edition, to enable ringers to be taught using a virtual band of ringers, St Georges is the only tower in the Isle of Man and North West of England to have this virtual band available. See http://abelsim.co.uk/ for details of this software.
